Meet the team

Founding Partner

Barry Lawson

Barry is a Founding Partner at TFI and sits on TFI’s Board, having led the management buyout with Stephen Geddes in 2016. He provides senior regulatory support to TFI’s clients, drawing on over 35 years of experience in private equity and FCA compliance.

Before co-founding TFI, Barry held senior roles at 3i Group, Bridgepoint Capital, and British International Investment Plc. He also founded The Private Equity Consultancy LLP in 2008 to support small and mid-market fund managers with regulatory, operational, and fundraising matters. Barry has contributed to the BVCA’s Regulatory Committee and delivered regulatory training for InvestEurope.

Founding Partner

Stephen Geddes

Stephen is a Founding Partner at TFI and a member of TFI’s Board, having led the management buyout with Barry Lawson in 2016. Stephen also founded Mainspring Fund Administration, now part of Apex Group, who provide fund admin to a number of our clients.

Prior to this, Stephen spent eight years at Pi Capital, the last five years of which acting as COO, overseeing the fund administration and company operations.

Partner

Fiona Melville

Fiona is a Partner at TFI, and, as well as being a member of TFI’s Board, oversees the investment process for our clients. She works across client operations including compliance monitoring and fund support.

Having spent many years working in and around policy and regulation, prior to joining TFI she ran ecosystem networks and partnerships and was COO of a UK-wide venture capital fund, ADV, that made both direct and Fund of Fund investments.

Chief Operating Officer

Flora Gray

Flora is the Chief Operating Officer at TFI, responsible for overseeing the firm’s day to day operations. Flora joined TFI in 2022 and continues to work alongside the Partners in scaling the firm. She works across the firm’s operations, particularly in client products, onboarding and fund closings.

Before joining TFI, Flora was COO of Regionally, a firm facilitating investments to UK regional scaleups based outside of London. Flora attended Newcastle University and holds a BA in History.

Compliance Manager

Kateryna Skyvka

Kateryna is a Compliance Manager at TFI, supporting the firm and its clients in meeting their regulatory obligations. She leads TFI’s monitoring programme for Appointed Representatives and prepares FCA applications. Kateryna also manages our marketing and brand strategy, producing client-facing materials, coordinating events, and maintaining TFI’s digital presence.

She holds a BSc in Business with Marketing from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School) and has previous experience in communications, copywriting, and project management.

Fund Associate

Alicia Wirekoh

Alicia is a Fund Associate at TFI, working with clients across fundraising, fund closings and the investment lifecycle. She supports clients in navigating fund and investment operations, investor onboarding and compliance.

She previously worked with the Managing Director of a CQC-registered care home and carer recruitment firm, gaining experience in compliance and operational efficiency, and at Bain & Company. Alicia holds an MSc in Business Analytics and a BSc in International Business Management. She sits on the Youth Board of the Renaissance Foundation, representing young carers and patients internationally, including at the British Embassy in Oslo and the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony.

Compliance Associate

Brindan Paramanathan

Brindan joined TFI in 2025 as a Compliance Associate, supporting the delivery of the monitoring programme for Appointed Representatives. Brindan also leads on TFI’s KYC and AML procedures across investor onboarding and investment deployment.

Prior to TFI, Brindan worked at Legal & General, advising corporate clients on employee benefits schemes, fostering strong stakeholder relationships and delivering tailored solutions. He studied the CILEX Professional Diploma in Law and Practice through CILEX Law School.
